INTRODUCTION :

Frozen shoulder is a condition where the shoulder becomes painful, stiff, and difficult to move. Over time, even simple daily activities like dressing, bathing, or lifting the arm become challenging. The condition develops slowly and can last for months or even years if not managed properly. It is commonly seen in people aged 40–60 years, especially in diabetics.

PHYSIOTHERAPY MANAGEMENT:

Goals of physiotherapy is to,
1. Reduce pain
2. Improve shoulder mobility
3. Restore daily function...

DO’s:

Do gentle shoulder movements daily
Do physiotherapy regularly
Do apply heat before exercises
Do apply ice if pain increases after activity
Do maintain good posture
Do use the affected arm in daily activities
Do control diabetes (if present)

DON’Ts:

Don’t completely stop using the shoulder
Don’t force painful movements
Don’t lift heavy objects with the affected arm
Don’t sleep on the painful shoulder
Don’t skip physiotherapy sessions
Don’t expect instant results
